City Pharmacy Newcastle is proud to be part of the NSW trial of appropriately trained pharmacists to provide women with contraceptive pill directly, without needing a prescription.
The NSW contraceptive pill and pharmacy trial represents a positive step toward fostering reproductive autonomy and healthcare accessibility for women in the region.
Eligible participants are:
Aged 18 - 35 years
Take the pill to prevent unplanned pregnancy
Have a past prescription for the pill, (issued in the last two years)
You will also need to come in store for a consult with one of our pharmacists.
If you receive a prescription, we will notify your doctor directly or provide you with a letter to take to your doctor next time you visit.
